Hi, I’m Birdie. I arrived this week with my four precious puppies, who are looking for their forever families as well.
I’m a Shepherd mix and, at just 49 lbs, I’m pretty skinny right now. I’m quite emaciated and need some good food, lots of TLC, and a cozy place to rest while I get back on my paws. 🐾
Even though I’ve been through a lot of changes, I’ve been the sweetest little angel. I’m incredibly gentle, loving and oh-so-sweet. I was perfect for my vet exam, ride quietly in my crate, love soaking up the sunshine and happily follow my people around the yard.
I’m still getting settled, but everyone here thinks that once I’m feeling stronger and more comfortable, my personality is really going to shine. They can’t wait to meet the real Birdie, and honestly… neither can I.
I've had my first vet check and vaccines. My spay is scheduled and I'm ready to leave the kennel and begin my foster journey. I’d really love somewhere cozy and comfortable where I can recover and learn what it feels like to simply be a dog.
My dream foster home would be without young kids (12+ should be fine). Cats might be okay with a slow introduction and separation at first, and respectful dogs could be a possibility after a meet. Could you be my soft place to land?

Meet the Ocean Crew! AKA Birdie's babies!
Hi! We’re Cove, Barnacle, Siren and Sailor, 4 adorable little puppies looking for our forever families! Our mom is a Shepherd mix and the humans think we might have some Husky and a few other mystery breeds tossed into the recipe. We’re expected to be large dogs when we grow up, but right now we’re still just tiny babies.
We’re about 9-10 weeks old and ready to start moving into our foster-to-adopt homes by the end of the week!
We’re friendly. We’re playful. We LOVE people. We run, wrestle, explore, snuggle, give kisses and always welcome belly rubs!
We should probably mention that we are babies. We’re still figuring out this housetraining business, we're doing so good though! We're also learning that human fingers, toes, shirts, shoelaces or basically anything else we can reach, are not for teething.

Cove
Cove (female - blonde): I’m curious about EVERYTHING and love exploring. I like sticking close to my siblings, but I’m always ready for a good game. I'll be a very fun puppy to have around!

Barnacle (female - grey/blonde): Apparently I look like a little old man because I’m a bit scruffy. Rude! I’m actually a very cute little girl, thank you very much! I’m pretty easygoing and well rounded. I’m happy playing, exploring, receiving affection or hanging out!

Sailor
Sailor (male - blonde): I’m the only boy and the biggest of us all! I like being the center of attention, especially when food is involved. Feeding time is serious business! I’m not afraid to remind my sisters who (I think) the ruler of the puppy castle is, but secretly I’m a big ol’ snuggle bug!

Siren (female - black and tan): I’m the smallest, but I make up for it with confidence and charm! I’m super friendly, love to play and I’m usually the first one checking out something new. I’m also very snuggly!

Rex

I’m a 6-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd looking for a calm, understanding foster-to-adopt home. I'm around 50 lbs and on a weight loss journey, a perfect medium sized buddy!
I have a good amount of energy, but that's probably mainly because my previous owners weren't in a position to walk or socialize me much. I settle nicely after some exercise and once I feel comfortable. I have gotten along fine with cats in the past. Although in my previous foster home, there were 3 felines and they excited me a bit too much... To the point where it's been decided I should probably go to a home without cats. Other dogs are cool, though I can be unsure when we’re in close quarters. I would do much better having my humans to myself. When I see dogs out and about on walks, I have big reactions as well. Same with cars, I like to try and chase those big machines (not recommended). I'm still learning and all my quirks can improve with patience and routine.

I need a home without super young kids, where I have time and space to decompress. My rescue peeps say I'm an anxious fella, especially when my routine gets switched up. I’m very sweet and affectionate and I’d love a family who can keep me lots of company. See, I don't enjoy being left alone and I can get vocal when you first leave me. Once I know you've left the house, though, I typically settle.

I'd love if my new family could take me for regular walks. I haven’t been exposed to the world much, so I need someone patient to help me explore life safely. I definitely have some quirks, which we'll get more into if you're interested in adopting me. If you have a calm home and a big heart, I’d love to meet you! As long as you're aware that I'm new to this chapter of my life and are open to learning along with me, applications for me are open!
