Available Dogs

These wonderful individuals are currently in our care and looking for humans to call their own! Please read their full description before you apply. In order to set our dogs (and their humans) up for success in the long run, it is crucial we carefully match them to the right applicant.

Rex

Rex

I’m a 6-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd looking for a calm, understanding foster-to-adopt home. I'm around 50 lbs and on a weight loss journey, a perfect medium sized buddy!

I have a good amount of energy, but that's probably mainly because my previous owners weren't in a position to walk or socialize me much. I settle nicely after some exercise and once I feel comfortable. I have gotten along fine with cats in the past. Although in my previous foster home, there were 3 felines and they excited me a bit too much... To the point where it's been decided I should probably go to a home without cats. Other dogs are cool, though I can be unsure when we’re in close quarters. Or when I see dogs out and about on walks, I have big reactions as well. Same with cars, I like to try and chase those big machines (not recommended). I'm still learning and all my quirks can improve with patience and routine. I do think another confident dog in the home could help me feel safe and secure in the long run!

Rex (continued)

I need a home without super young kids, where I have time and space to decompress. My rescue peeps say I'm an anxious fella, especially when my routine gets switched up. I’m very sweet and affectionate and I’d love a family who can keep me lots of company. See, I don't enjoy being left alone and I can get vocal when you first leave me. Once I know you've left the house, though, I typically settle.

I'd love if my new family could take me for regular walks. I haven’t been exposed to the world much, so I need someone patient to help me explore life safely. I definitely have some quirks, which we'll get more into if you're interested in adopting me. If you have a calm home and a big heart, I’d love to meet you! As long as you're aware that I'm new to this chapter of my life and are open to learning along with me, applications for me are open!

Kashoo

Kashoo

My name is Kashoo — yes, like someone sneezed and decided it was a name. I’m a 3-5 (ish) year old Shepherd mix (allegedly… I don’t remember the paperwork). I’m a large breed (around 70 lbs), which basically means I take up space...but in a majestic, decorative-throw-pillow-come-to-life kind of way.

Let me tell you a bit about myself:

My Best Qualities (confirmed by science and the humans here):

Sweet? Absolutely. I dish out affection like it’s my job.
Smart? I know sit, wait, and lay down - and I execute them with the confidence of a dog who expects a treat.
Calm? I’m basically the canine equivalent of a chill playlist, except when I'm doing my adorable zoomies or see something REALLY exciting.
Respectful? I don’t knock people over or steal sandwiches. (Okay, ONE sandwich, but it was placed at nose level. That’s entrapment.)

Kashoo (continued)

My Social Life:

I love going for walks or playing with well-matched dog friends. Not the overly rude ones, not the ones who think wrestling is a personality — I’m classy. When I'm walking on a leash and see other dogs in public, I tend to have a big reaction and big feelings. I need someone confident and strong to manage these situations. Someone who's willing to take the time to work on engagement with me, so that I don't feel the need to express my big feelings towards every new dog, or squirrel, or car... Yes, my leash manners in distracting environments need some work. But I can improve, I promise! I don't mean anything mean by it, I'm mostly frustrated that I'm stuck on a leash and not able to go greet everyone I want to greet.

The humans think I’d do okay in a home with another respectful dog buddy. A female dog would probably be the best match. Which is perfect, because I’ve been dying to share my theories about squirrels with someone who truly understands.

As for cats… well… look, I’m a gentleman, but I do have a prey drive when it comes to birds, rabbits and anything that bounces suspiciously. So cats might be a “maybe not".

Kashoo (continued)

I'm currently being fostered by some amazing hoomans who care about me a LOT and are so great at tending to my needs. They say that I'm an absolute prince inside the home. Respectful, calm, snuggly, sweet! I'm also totally fine manning the house while you're at work! Bonus points for me!

I am ready for:

A house
A yard
A couch
A family

Please come get me and add me to your fam jam forever.

Love,

Kashoo!

Sophie

Sophie

Howllooooooo!! My name is Sophie and I'm ready to be your very best friend! You like  brain games? Running? Training? Going on adventures and getting into  mischief? (The best kind, obvee!).  I'm a spayed, vaccinated Rottweiler cross (look at my pretty face) about 9 months young. The ladies here think I have hound in me, too! My nose is always on the  ground, discovering all the stories the dirt can tell! Pssst, did you  know the fern and the pine tree are having an affair???

I'm looking for a new home. I'm a super special 'n' social girly who needs a place where  I have lots going on to keep my busy brain working (I'm like, really smart) and my growing body active! I'm not yet a year old and definitely enjoy learning new things, playing HARD and leaving it all out on the field!

Sophie (continued)

Do I need doggy friends? If they can match my play style, then YES! Do I need kitties? Only if  you want me to play chase All. Day. Long. Although, it's pawsible a  dog-savvy cat who's game to take me on as their roommate could be  workable. Maybe we can plot to take over the household and steal all the  treats together!

My previous family has taken exceptional care of me but I'm just a bit too much (or a lot too much)  dog for them. I have a big personality, take up space and ain't got no shame about it! Whaddya say, friends? Time to fill out that  application?

Love,

Sophie

Harlow (Pending Adoption)

Harlow (Pending Adoption)

Hi, I’m Harlow. I’m about 3 years old and around 65 lbs, though I’m still working on getting back to a healthier weight. When I was found, I didn’t have anyone looking for me. That part still feels a little confusing… but I’m safe now and that’s what matters!

I’m a bully breed mix, spayed and up to date on my vaccines. I do need some dental work soon to help me feel my best. My rescue folks are taking care of that.

I can be a little shy when I first meet new people or when I’m in new places. I just need a bit of time to understand that I’m safe. Once I do, I really start to open up. I’m gentle, affectionate and have a soft, silly side that comes out when I feel comfortable.

Harlow (continued) (Pending Adoption)

I spend my days snoozing on the couch while my foster mom is at work. At night, I love to sleep on the bed (if I'm invited, of course). Honestly, it’s exhausting being this cute… I need at least 14 hours of sleep to recover.

I love going for walks and taking in the world around me. I’m working on my leash manners and getting better all the time. I try really hard.

I’ve met other dogs and seem pretty neutral after a proper introduction. I haven’t lived closely with one yet, but I may do well with a calm, respectful dog. Cats might be a bit exciting for me, so any introductions would need to be slow and thoughtful.

I’ve also met some kids. I just need a little space at first, but once I feel comfortable, I’m sweet and gentle with them.

Love,
Harlow
